Amazon and Play confirm that the running time is 200 minutes (3 hours and 20 Mins).
I always thought the alternative title for 'Wonders in Letterland' was 'Troubles with T-Bag', seems not, its 'Trouble...'
It'd be great if John Hasler or Elizabeth Estensen agreed to do some promotion around the time of release to ensure maximum sales, as I fear a lot of people won't know of it's release if it's done on the quiet.
The cover looks wonderful (pun intended), thanks for sharing, nice to see the '1' on the spine - indicating other series will follow!
I check Revelation Films Twitter every few days but what a wonderful announcement, I hope there are more teasers and treats to follow...
I've also found another website offering the DVD for pre-order as below: Base.com (£9.49)
Many of the online retailers have changed their product description indicating this is the official description (and possibly the wording on the back of the DVD case):
The classic kids TV series, which to this day still boasts a hugely loyal following, stars Elizabeth Estensen (Tallulah ‘T-Bag’ Bag), Jennie Stallwood (Debbie) and John Hasler (T-Shirt), comes to DVD for the very first time! T-Bag is a full time mischief-maker. She is the wickedest witch around who, with her heinous helpmate T-Shirt, manages to create havoc wherever she goes - although none of the spells she casts ever go quite according to plan… Contains the episodes: 1. Arrival In Letterland 2. Debbie In The Land Of B 3. Debbie In The Land Of S 4. Debbie In The Land Of I 5. Debbie In The Land Of P 6. Debbie In The Land Of R 7. Debbie In The Land Of V 8. Debbie In The Land Of O 9. Debbie In The Land Of E 10. Debbie's Journey Home
For the last episode they are using the title 'Debbie's Journey Home' (taken from the Fremantle Archive), this episode is originally known as 'Back To Square One'.
I always thought the alternative title was Troubles With T-Bag, it's great that the DVD will also be titled 'Wonders In Letterland' as this hopefully means we'll get the original broadcast version as when the title was changed edits had to be made (especially to the 'Wonders in Letterland' song Debbie sings in episode 6).
I hope there is some official promotion when the DVD launches, I'll be promoting the release on the Website, forum and facebook group. I'll also be posting the news of the release on other children's TV forums too. I hope the DVD is a big success. John Hasler is being involved with extras for the DVD, so hopefully others will too.
The BBFC passed Series 1 for classification today.
Running times as follows...
00:20:16:05 TROUBLE WITH T-BAG 00:20:10:01 TROUBLE WITH T-BAG 00:20:33:11 TROUBLE WITH T-BAG 00:20:03:21 TROUBLE WITH T-BAG 00:20:04:06 TROUBLE WITH T-BAG 00:19:59:00 TROUBLE WITH T-BAG 00:19:52:07 TROUBLE WITH T-BAG 00:20:01:22 TROUBLE WITH T-BAG 00:20:04:05 TROUBLE WITH T-BAG 00:20:04:23 TROUBLE WITH T-BAG
Revelation Films have posted draft artwork of the DVD itself on Twitter. It's looking brilliant, keep the teasers coming and before we know it it will be November! The disc says 'All ten episodes plus Special Features'.
How exciting! We've received the first draft of the T-Bag packaging artwork! It's coming together nicely #tbagdvd twitpic.com/2i1qxh 25th August 2010 via Twitpic
Well done on the BBFC ratings find, interesting to see how the episode lengths varied, between the shortest and longest episodes there is a difference of just over 41 seconds!
I've found a few more websites offering the DVD for pre-order. I've noticed that Amazon has reduced the price to £7.99 (possibly to match the HMV price). Below is the updated list:
Revelation Films have posted a small trailer of the series on their webpage. Have uploaded to Rapidshare to download. Use VLC Player to play as it's a Flash file.
I've just found the video trailer for the DVD on Revelation Films website and came here to post the news but you've beaten me to it Charlatan (do you have insider information or are you always checking their website and Twitter pages for news?) Well done on the find and for keeping us all up-to-date.
The trailer is fantastic (I've watched it three times already) and shows a great picture quality, the commentary photograph is excellent too - they look like they had a great time (and is that a cup of tea I see in front of them all?) Looking forward to the commentaries and I'm sure they'll be some great anecdotes.
I've found a few more online retailers offering the DVD for pre-order, these are the newest additions: 101CD.com (£8.95) Blahdvd.com (£8.95) DVD.co.uk (£8.95)

The latter.
I'm just so excited that a release is finally happening. Remember signing the petition years back and finally succumbing to the fact it probably wasn't ever gonna happen.
That's a great find Charlatan - Series two being released in January!!!
Hopefully we'll get a new series every two and a half or so months apart.
I've recently e-mailed Revelation Films and they have also told me they have started on the second series DVD but in the meantime we have the first series still to look forward too.
The trailer has now been posted on youtube and currently has 55 views. Watch it here:
Or click here:
Revelation Films have a banner on their website for the first series DVD too.
39 days to go!
p.s. I'm planning a special update for The High-T Website to coincide with the launch of the DVD in November - something wonderful, don't miss out or you'll be in trouble!
Revelation Films have updated their website to promote forthingcoming releases including T-Bag.
The T-Bag DVD page has been updated to confirm the bonus features, this only confirms the audio commentaries.
Special Features: Audio Commentaries With Elizabeth Estensen, John Hasler, Jennie Stallwood and Jim Norton.
The news page has been updated to promote the DVD.
Also out on the 8th is the classic 80s kids TV show T-Bag. After years of requests, and even an online petition with over 3,000 signatures - eek - the first series finally comes to DVD! Who could forget the evil witch T-Bag and her very cute assistant, T-Shirt!?
Revelation Films have also released their advert for their November releases on facebook and Twitter.
I have also come across an online review (that isn't entirely positive - everyone's entitled to their opinion, even if it is wrong). The review can be read here: Myreviewer.
The review does mention the extras that are featured including the audio commentaries but also mentions that the DVD includes a photo gallery!
With just 15 days to go, if you've not pre-ordered the DVD yet here is an updated list of all known online retailers selling the DVD.
Can you believe it - it's only (just less than) 8 days to go till the first series is released! ;D It has felt like an eternity waiting this past 6 months. All good things...
If you've pre-ordered with HMV, expect an email around Thursday to say it's been dispatched (providing they have stock in) so some of us might lucky enough to get it delivered by Saturday.
I feel really happy for you guys. I am just so glad it is finally making it to DVD. Not too sure when it will hit Australia and until it does, I will be checking every week on the websites of most Australian DVD retailers and will post here once I see something.
